THE BACK-TO-SCHOOL PROJECT 2023
Preface
Back to School Project is a GPPd-GPPi Project Africa implemented by Rapid Trainers Int'l and Save the Girl Child Advocacy Africa.
Schools just resumed, and many children were found on the streets hopeless; without support, supplies and uniforms. I am burdened about this news, so we’ve designed a special project to make a difference for students through the “BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECT” for vulnerable children, particularly girls children in Ughelli North L.G.A. Delta State, Nigeria. A target to reach out to extremely challenged girls and children in the rural area, with school materials such as note books,(customized), calculators, mathematical sets, uniforms, school bags, payment of school fees and more.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Back to School Project is an education advocacy program to transform the educational and economic system of Nigeria.
When people don’t read they do not make progress. They act in an uncivilized manner; thrive on ignorance, lack the reasoning ability to make the right judgment and decision. A notable truism states, “there is no difference between a man who cannot read and a man who doesn’t read”.
We intent to create an improved reading culture by organizing this Project we have tagged “Back to School Project”. This we will continue to do until every family is stirred up to see the benefits of supporting education and thereby reaping from the dividend of an educated society.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
1. To create an improved reading culture
2. To honor and promote education priorities amongst students
3. To awaken public awareness about the deterrent effects of poor reading habits on students
4. To discuss the rising factors confronting educational system in the Niger Delta
5. To create a platform where causes of poor reading routines can be discussed and how to proffer a solution to it.
6. To support rural education programs.

OPERATIONAL APPROACH
The Organization will carry out this Program in Nigeria through the following methods:
✔ Training: Requiring us to teach students on vocabulary development, gain confidence on public speaking, general essay review and letter writing
✔ Reading Competition: Requiring us to formulating a reading structure, following their school syllabus and other literature books
✔ Advocacy and Campaigns: Requiring us to partnership with schools, parents, churches and Community leaders to stimulate public awareness
✔ Support: To provide humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable.
✔ Mobilization: Requiring us to honor the contribution of philanthropists in our society and partnership to drive this Project.

CONCLUSION
It is on this premise that we are not resting on our oars but striding like a colossus to reach out to our society, the problem of examination malpractice has practically crippled our reading culture. But through the implementation of this Project, people will be encouraged to desist from that killer syndrome and move on by imbibing the statement of Abraham Lincoln, “It is better to fail than to cheat”. However a reading man will succeed.
